Here Comes the Bride (in 8 days!)

I think most of my readers know by now, I AM GETTING MARRIED. That's right, I'll become Mrs. Old (not a joke….) in 8 days!

This is one of two ceremonies we will be having. Our first ceremony will join our families in an intimate ceremony on April 5th. Our second ceremony will be the big one and I can't wait! All of the Mr.'s family will come from the UK and we will celebrate our love and our families all together. It will be epic!

You all know how much I love my community. Charlotte is one of the best places I have ever lived….without a doubt. I wanted to take a moment to give a shout out to the locals who will be providing services to my wedding next week.

First of all, thank you to Alicia LaLone from Wedding Row Charlotte for helping me find the perfect location. She was awesome at providing information to the best locations in my area that would fit perfectly with my vision.

Our wedding will be held at Daniel Stowe Botanical Gardens. If you haven't been there, it's a must. Not only is it a great place for events but it's the perfect way to spend a day out with your family. The customer service is impeccable. After a bad experience with another location, it was great to have the attention of Isabella who took her time to understand exactly what I wanted for this special day.

Donald from Best Impressions Caterers was awesome at working with me to get the chairs I needed for this ceremony. My favorite part was that he was quick to respond and I never had to leave my home to book this! Everything was done via email which is very helpful for a busy mom planning a wedding.

I am so thankful that one of my very dear friends will be capturing the moments of this day. Dawn Gaddy from Greyston Steele Photography is by far one of the best wedding photographers I have ever met. She's known me for several years and understands how special this is for my family.

Having worked in the entertainment field for 12 years, I have had the opportunity to meet some fantastic hair/makeup artists. But, you really didn't think I could have anyone do my makeup other than THE Stanley Owings from iMpact color cosmetics.?!Stanley and I have partnered together on many events/projects over the years. Not only is he amazing at what he does, but he's become one of my best friends. Stanley in turn introduced me to a wonderful hair stylist, Janna Williams from Shine Salon.  I know these two will make my daughters and I beautiful with their magic.

My favorite restaurant in the city is The Blue Taj. I seriously could eat there weekly. Not only is their menu the best but the ambiance and service is tough to beat. If you love Indian food, this is the place I recommend. I am so excited that we are able to enjoy a lovely reception with our friends after our wedding at The Blue Taj.

After a horrible experience searching for a dress locally, I was told about an event in Charlotte that would not only give me the opportunity to find a beautiful dress but it was for charity! I attended the Brides Against Breast Cancer Event with one of my daughters and my best friend. The volunteers were SO helpful and you could see the happiness they had for each bride. I found THE dress of my dreams thanks to these ladies.

We certainly couldn't have had a wedding without our RINGS. My favorite Charlotte jeweler? Donald Haack Diamonds. Hands Down. Our rings are absolutely stunning and we wouldn't have them without the help of Jen Riley. She is an expert in her industry. She listens to what you want and truly takes her time to help you create something special.

It's hard to believe, I will be officially married next week. And it's even harder to believe after that day is over, I'll have another ceremony to plan. Talk about feeling like Cinderalla!!!
