What sparked your interest in opening Ageless Remedies-Southpark?I have always been aware that “You feel better when you know you look good.” When my husband retired, it opened the door for us to start a business to help people do that – look their best. Self-esteem often depends on self-image. We love helping people look their best and making them happy.

You pride yourself in carrying only the best in skincare solutions. What skincare line do you highly recommend for routine care? Everyone needs a skincare regimen that includes these essentials: an anti-oxidant (e.g., Vitamin C), a retinol (for skin renewal), and a full-spectrum sunscreen with an SPF of 30.

We established Ageless Remedies SouthPark with an apothecary concept so we don’t endorse only one line.  Instead, we base our recommendations on the ingredients necessary to achieve healthy skin, individualized for every client.  Besides the above fundamentals, some of our cosmeceuticals contain growth factors, built-in moisturizers, and lightening agents for brown/age/sun spots. All the products we carry achieve real results, especially the medical grade products. They are state-of-the art and are proven to penetrate below the skin’s surface.

Some women can be intimidated by technology  such as botox and even laser hair removal. What do you have to  say to those who are curious but still uncertain about going through with one of those procedures? I certainly understand being overwhelmed by these procedures. It’s a new world – and there’s a great deal of misinformation all too available. In the end, it comes down to trust. Finding people with whom you feel comfortable, to whom you can trust your skin, is the key. I encourage everyone to choose carefully and not commit to anything until he or she spends some time talking with the potential aesthetician or physician.

 Does Ageless Remedies-Southpark offer consultations before services are scheduled?  Of course! In fact, no one is treated at Ageless Remedies SouthPark without first completing a medical H+P (History and Physical) and having a complimentary consultation to discuss her concerns and to learn how we can help.

You have returning customers even from other states which means they must be pretty loyal. What sets you apart from the other med spas?  Thank you for asking! I know it’s easy to say “customer service” but we actually walk the talk. Everything we suggest is customized for each individual. We are a genuine medical spa with a physician who is always available. Moreover, our staff is updated weekly on the latest developments in the field – products, equipment, techniques. We all take great pride in being at the forefront in aesthetics.

How do you define beauty? What a great question! For me, someone is beautiful when I sense, I truly see, an inner glow of goodness. Some people radiate a kind, generous spirit.

Any final words? Most people want to look their best but don’t know about what is now possible — fabulous technological advances that are non-surgical and involve little or no down-time. Dr. G is our medical director. The doctor is always “in. He performs all the “injectables”: Botox, Fillers (Restylane, Radiesse, Juvederm), Sclerotherapy, and Lypo Therapy.He trains and supervises the medical aestheticians. He oversees all laser treatments, medical charting, and introduction of new products and equipment. Elaine is responsible for marketing and staff development.
