Yes, I really did get to interview THE Richard Simmons…..in a very “modern” way….VIA TWITTER. Sometimes we have to just go with the flow.
This all started when I was doing research for one of the organizations I work with, Transcend ED. I came across an article about Richard Simmons on BuzzFeed. One of the first things I did was follow Simmons on Twitter. Isn’t that what we all do??
Without much confidence in him responding, I “tweeted” him and said I’ve love to interview him. His response? “Sure!” Then I receive this in my inbox.
*insert fan girl giggles and screams here*
Of course, I immediately jumped on this opportunity. Ok, so I was going to interview Simmons via Twitter Direct Message. Challenge accepted.

I’m still amazed at how easy it has become to connect with those you normally wouldn’t have access to via digital media. Thank you Richard Simmons for taking the time to chat!

How fun! I grew up watching Richard Simmons with my Grandma and would die if he tweeted with me.
LOVE THIS!! I have always thought Richard had the biggest heart and I love that he was so open and approachable. That not only says a lot about him, but about how kind YOU are.
