Queen City Pretty: Kristin Jann-Fischer

This week’s Queen City Pretty is quite the talented young lady in our community.
Kristin Jann-Fischer is a singer and actress who resides in Charlotte.  Originally from New Jersey, she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education from Rowan University in Glassboro, NJ. After that, Kristin received her Master’s Degree in Vocal Performance from the University of Hawaii. Kristin currently works as an office Assistant at Parker Web and is the Praise and Worship Leader at Lake Wylie Lutheran.

Kristin’s first passion is for Musical Theatre and has been involved in productions such as  Last 5 Years, Children of Eden and Masterclass. Kristin doesn’t stop with the stage. She can also be seen in commercials, films and even an episode of Lost!   She has featured roles in the movies Praise Band and Blood Done Sign My Name .

Thank you Kristin for being this week’s Queen City Pretty and for bringing your talent and beauty to our community.

What is your beauty product must have? Honestly? Water. It keeps my skin fairly clear and well-hydrated.

If I were to peek in your makeup bag, what would I find? Bare Minerals foundation, Cover Girl LashBlast Volume Blasting Mascara (cuz a girl can’t leave the house with bare lashes!), NARS Orgasm Blush (the most versatile blush ever, gives an amazing, natural glow) and this cover-up that my friend,   Samantha Smith http://www.samanthaalexandra.com/ designed.

What spa/salon service can you not live without and where do you go to get this service done? I have recently discovered Brazilian Keratin Treatment thanks to the fabulous guys over at Hair Klaudt. It’s a straightening treatment that leaves your hair frizz-free for 4-6 months. It’s serioiusly changed my life.

Who is your beauty icon? My friend, Samantha that I mentioned earlier. She is a make-up artist here in Charlotte. Not only is she talented beyond words, she’s just an amazing person inside and out. She deserves to “make it” in this business.

What is your definition of Beauty? When a person is beautiful on the inside, it radiates and makes them gorgeous on the outside.  I know it’s cliche, but they are the truest words I can type. My dear friend, Crystal Dempsey should be the girl you interview next. Meet her, talk to her, see that she is the definition of Beauty.

Any last words? I am honored to have been nominated for this. I’m humbled, really. I’m just a girl – sometimes naive, always aiming to please others – trying to make it in the world.
