Product Review: Bhaktiveda

“Ayurveda is a form of traditional medicine native to the Indian subcontinent, practiced to ensure overall wellness through harmony of the mind, body, soul and universe.  Utilizing plants, herbs and essential oils known for their medicinal value, Ayurvedic materials are time tested and proven for their multifaceted benefits.

The central concept of Ayurvedic medicine is the theory that health exists when there is balance between three fundamental bodily humours or doshas: Vata (air), Pitta (fire) and Kapha (water and earth).”

Because the idea of Ayurvedic medicine can be complex and confusing, creator Laura Callegari, wanted her products to be a simple way for us to experience the benefits of Ayurveda.  Laura’s wish to share her passion for both India and Ayurvedic practices with others was the inspiration for Bhaktiveda.

All products are made in India, according to strict Ayurvedic principles and contain ingredients such as Neem and Tulsi (Holy Basil) which are picked from the foothills of the Himalayas.

 Lotion

I had the pleasure of recently testing Bhaktiveda’s Tulsi Body Lotion and I am completely in love. This body lotion is formulated with extract of Tulsi, the Holy Basil plant. The lotion moisturizes and refreshes your skin. I truly love the scent of the Tulsi lotion and have incorporated it into my nightly beauty regimen. It’s soothing and relaxing….perfect right before bed time!

I would love to see this product as a small hand lotion. It would be fabulous to be able to keep this lotion in my hand bag for  immediate soothing or a little relaxation when I’m out and about.

Bhaktiveda Tulsi Body Lotion is truly mesmerizing and I highly recommend it.
