Things are very different right now. Traveling far and wide isn’t much of an option. But that doesn’t mean you can’t experience new cultures, food, and wine from the comfort of your home. In Good Taste Wines offers limited batches of single-glass bottles of wine from around the world.

Let me be real for a minute. I haven’t written anything in a while as I’ve not traveled in over 5 months. As many in my industry, I’ve been in a funk. Five months of no travel is quite a long time for me. I think back to last year and I was all over. Washington DC more times than I can count, San Francisco, Jekyll Island, Houston, New York, London etc. The year before that brought Paris, Greece, and Nepal. I. MISS. TRAVELING.I miss experiencing new places, cultures, people, food and of course wine.

It’s important for us to continue to expand our knowledge even if it’s at home. There are documentaries and virtual tours of destinations. There’s Pinterest that provides recipes for any type of food. And it’s easy for us to go to the store and grab a bottle of wine. There’s everything you can imagine in one section. Bordeaux, Sauvignon Blanc, Rosé, Malbec….the list goes on. Quarantined at home? There’s many companies that will ship to you. Pretty sure my husband and I frequented some of these companies at the beginning of the pandemic.

However, a couple of months ago I learned about another company called In Good Taste Wines. Receiving a bottle of wine at your front door step is one thing. But what about receiving a beautiful gift box with a flight of 8 single-glass bottles of wine?! A beautiful variety that expands beyond the basics of your local grocery store. In Good Taste goes a step further and also offers weekly ‘Wine Wednesday’ virtual tastings. Purchase the flight and join an actual tasting with their experts and other wine lovers from around the world. Each box includes 8 different types of single-glass wines along with tasting cards that include fun facts and food pairings. The glass bottles are also REUSABLE!!! I’ve seen some fun ways to use them including as a flower vase.

In Good Taste Wines would make a great gift for weddings, birthdays, and house warmings. I also think this is a great idea for a date night! With a minimum of 6 guests (purchases), you are also able to hold a private virtual tasting. Another way to connect with friends (or colleagues) around the world.

It will be some time before I travel 100% again but I’m so thrilled for companies like In Good Taste Wines who are now bringing the world and unique opportunities right into the comfort of our homes.
