HydroPeptide:Scientific Beauty Made Simple

I have a FABULOUS new product line to introduce to you. As you know, I review many skincare lines and it's very rare to try an anti-aging product and receive immediate results. I  am absolutely thrilled to say, it exists!

I know, I know…..you are saying to yourself "she's not old enough for anti aging products" Well…I HOPE that's what you are saying to yourself. haha. In any case, I do have dry and uneven skin tones and feel it's important to take care of your skin no matter how old you are and I have found a product that WORKS.

HydroPeptide was created in 2004 by Louise Peck, PhD. It became one of the first skin care companies to incorporate peptides into every product. I feel the need to go into further detail on exactly what a "peptide" is. (Hey, even I had to research it further!)  According to Justin Dotterweich, PR director of Hydropeptide, Peptides are small protein fragments that nourish, repair and send neural messages. Layman's terms:it helps relax deep wrinkles. For those of you who love injectables, say good bye to the needles and hello to a product line that is based around science AND nature.

As I have only used sample size products thus far, I do not know the long term effects. Less than a week ago, I began using HydroPeptide's Anti-Wrinkle Exfoliating Cleanser and Anti-Wrinkle Brightening Toner. Upon the first use, I immediately saw a more clear complexion. My face was glowing! (in a good way) My skin was smooth, beautiful and refreshed. I also used the Eye Anti-Wrinkle Dark Circle Concentrate. Since a young age, I have always had visible dark circles under my eyes. I noticed a slight difference immediately and expect even more improvement as I continue to use the product.  There are other products in the HydroPeptide line that I look forward to trying, especially the Anti-Wrinkle Polish & Plump Peel and the Instant Peptide Miracle Mask.

HydroPeptide recently has been seen in publications such as Fitness Magazine, Life & Style Magazine, American Spa, DaySpa, Skin Inc and is the winner of many 2009 and 2010 beauty awards from DaySpa, Fitness and Prevention.

Want to know the best news of all?!?! I have decided to carry this line in my Pretty in the Queen City Official Beauty Store. That's right, now you can purchase these fabulous products from me. You will not find these at your local beauty counter. There is only one location in the Charlotte area that carries this line and for my worldwide readers, availability varies for your locations.

  • Amelia, have you continued using the HydroPeptide Eye Anti-Wrinkle Dark Circle Concentrate, and have the results been good? I am looking for a good eye cream for my dark circles and fine lines, but I am a bit perplexed by what is currently on the market; what is the real difference between a $120 cream and a $50 cream?

Would be interested to hear if you are continuing to see results from this product.

  • The difference with this particular product is that I immediately saw a brightening around my eyes. I didn't look so tired and I didn't have to wait for results after long term use.

There are many creams out there that are great but must be used for long periods of time before you see the results you are wanting. With that said, my personal results may not be the results for everyone. It honestly has to be a trial and error for each person because what works for me , may not work for you and vice versa.

The entire HydroPeptide line is a favorite of mine . I am a results person. I like to see IMMEDIATE results. Call me impatient LOL. That's one reason I love this product.

My suggestion is buying trial size versions of products (HydroPeptide is a company that offers this) and test the product before spending major money.

  • L'Oreal Collagen is another great face cream that is not on the higher end , price wise. I have NOT used any eye cream from the collection and haven't checked to see if it exist but the day/night face cream is really great. I recently received compliments on my skin after using it. If other people notice, that's a good product LOL

  • I am impatient, too, so I'll go for a trial size of the HydroPeptide eye cream first. Thanks for the in-depth response! I'm in my 20s and I really want to take good care of my skin...noticing the fine lines recently has freaked me out.

  • I completely understand! I too have noticed lines most recently and am also in my late 20s. Let me know if you have other questions. Good luck and let me know how it works for you!
