I am a little late putting up this week’s Queen City Pretty, I do apologize. I promise it’s for a good reason! I’ve been busy planning a major PrettyCity event for Charlotte! Stay tuned for all the Pretty details.

I am very excited about this week’s Queen City Pretty. She is one of the most amazing women I have met since moving to Charlotte. Seriously, she is Super Woman….minus the cape….although, she may have one of those too!

Our Queen City Pretty this week is Lisa Frame. Not only is Lisa the Charlotte editor for Savvy Source but she is also a fabulous Blogger.  I personally love reading her posts. So funny!

Check out her blogs at Mommyality and A Daily Pinch .

When asked to describe herself, her response: ” I am an over-achieving, cupcake loving, lip gloss coveting, coffee obsessing, knowledge junkie who gets excited over helping others and starting new projects.”

Oh, and did I mention that she’s been married for 11 years and has a 10 year old son!!! She continues to amaze me.

Thank you Lisa for taking the time to share your beauty tips with our readers and for being our Queen City Pretty. You truly are a beauty, inside and out .

What is your beauty product must have? Sunscreen. I am very fair and burn easily, so I carry it everywhere I go. We also have a family history of melanoma; and after having two places removed from my back, I am diligent about taking care of my skin.

If I were to peek in your makeup bag, what would I find? If you were to peek into my makeup bag, you would find a mixture of everything from department store cosmetics to drug store brands. Becca, an Australian line, has become a staple for my foundation. I use Stila tinted moisturizer for running around town and at home. While I love Chanel mascara, right now I am using Rimmel and it’s fantastic. I might have a problem with lipgloss as well. I carry about 10 with me at all times. My primer secret? Monistat anti-chafing gel! It’s essentially the same ingredients as high-end primers. It mattifies and smooths for $6 a tube. What more can you ask for?

How do you pamper yourself after a long week? Soaking in the tub with a good book and a glass of wine.

What spa/salon service can you not live without? Hair color and highlights. My hair turned a shade of mousy gray at 24. So, I go like clockwork every five weeks to have my color done. I have heard from so many people that I should just let it go natural, but I saw my natural color about six years ago and it wasn’t pretty. Right now, I am a little darker than my “natural” color, but also haven’t been afraid to experiment with shades either.

Who is your beauty icon?In real life? My Mother. She is the most beautiful woman I know, inside and out. However, I would also be lying if I didn’t add Audrey Hepburn, Lauren Bacall, Grace Kelly, Lana Turner and Rita Hayworth. I think I really missed out living between 1930 and 1960.

What is your definition of Beauty? Be yourself. While you may not be someone’s definition of beauty, you define yourself and that is all that should matter.

Any last words?  The most beautiful people aren’t necessarily the most attractive ones. Be yourself, don’t think that you have to be someone else just for people to like you.
