Hilton Athens:Luxury in the Heart of Athens

Disclosure: I was a guest of the Hilton Athens however all opinions are my own.

I have been fortunate to stay in some amazing hotels across the world. Los Angeles, New York, Paris, London, the list goes on. My husband and I both gravitate towards Hilton hotels as we are Hilton Honors Members. One of the best is the Hilton Athens in downtown Athens, Greece. I’ve stayed here four times now and each time I fall more in love.

Upon arriving to the hotel, you walk into a large stylish contemporary open space lobby and are greeted with friendly faces.

Each visit I have been presented with wine, water, and fruit in my Executive floor suite. This has always been a pleasant welcome after a long flight from the U.S.

While I was a guest of the Hilton Athens during my most recent visit, I was a customer prior to this. I have received the same treatment each time. The staff are kind, welcoming, and accommodating. They truly go above and beyond.

A couple of years ago, during my hectic travels, I thought I had booked a room at the Hilton Athens the night before my flight home. It turned out I had not. Even though the hotel was booked nearly solid, they made it work. I was so grateful I wasn’t left to find another hotel late at night, alone at that.

The rooms are comfortable and I can never pass up a Hilton bed. I may or may not have requested their bedding for Christmas.  A few weeks ago, I decided to order room service instead of going out. Sitting out on the balcony, enjoying my meal, while looking over Athens and the Acropolis is a feeling (or a view!) you won’t find anywhere else. Did I mention, I did all of this in my PJs?

One of the largest outdoor swimming pools in the city is at the Hilton Athens. Locals can even enjoy unwinding by the palm trees with a cocktail in hand as the hotel offers memberships to access the pool. The poolside restaurant, Oasis Bar & Grill offers a wide range of dishes from burgers to Mediterranean cuisine.

I’d say probably one of the highlights of this luxury hotel is the rooftop bar and restaurant. Imagine dinner amongst marble pillars with stunning views of the Acropolis. Galaxy Bar and Restaurant is not just loved by guests but it’s also a popular place for local celebrities.

In addition to comfortable rooms, outstanding food, and extraordinary views the Hilton Athens has a host of other offerings. From the Hiltonia Spa, to shops and additional on site restaurants your needs will be met whether on business or holiday.

The best part of all, you are just a walk away from some of the most popular attractions and places including:

The Acropolis Museum

The Plaka District

National Art Gallery

Lycabetus HIll

Benaki Museum

Museum of Cycladic Art

Bousoukia Clubs

Shopping at Kolonaki
