John Frieda® Conair Volume Curls: Give me Bounce! (Review)

It was recently announced that the Conair Corporation and Kao Brands Company have joined forces to allow Conair to create, market and distribute a line of premium hair appliances under the widely respected John Frieda® brand name.

The collection includes a series of hair dryers, straighteners, and styling tools that offer state-of-the art technologies and professional quality and performance. The license will also allow Conair to manufacture non-electric styling tools.

"Our relationship with the John Frieda® brand is a perfect marriage of hair care leaders," said Ron Diamond, President of Conair Corporation. "The John Frieda® brand is world-renowned for hair care and styling products, just as Conair is internationally recognized as a leader in hair care appliances, offering great value and performance. We could not be more excited about our relationship with Kao Brands Company and the John Frieda® brand."

According to William J. Gentner, Kao Brands Company President and CEO, "Both the Conair and John Frieda® brands are leaders in the art of hair transformation. Both are dedicated to leveraging our professional expertise to bring innovative solutions to the retail beauty market. The collaboration between our two companies is a natural fit. We at Kao Brands Company look forward to the launch of an unsurpassed line of John Frieda® hair styling tools."

"The two brands have great synergy on so many levels," continued Diamond. "The expansion of the John Frieda® brand into hair appliances will provide immense opportunity for our retail partners to reach the beauty customer with a complete hair care regimen."

I recently had the opportunity to test out one of these fancy new tools.  The Definition & Curl: Volume Curls iron uses Advanced Ionic Technology (which basically takes the frizz and static away from your hair),  has a 1 1/2 inch barrel, heats up in 30 seconds (NO KIDDING) , has a ceramic titanium coated barrel, auto shutoff and comes with a heat mat.

John Frieda® is known for being a leader in transformational hair care and this line of tools will leave your hair looking healthy, smooth, shiny and in my case BOUNCY.

First of all, let me admit something to you. Despite my love and "knowledge" of beauty products, tools and services…..up until a few years ago..I could not curl my own hair to save my life. Do I go left or right……am I supposed to turn the iron towards my face or away from my face……how do I reach the back of my head……I just could not curl my hair. Thankfully I eventually learned this skill and no longer have to worry about being a beauty reviewer and researcher and not knowing how to do this. What woman doesn't?!

I was pretty excited to receive the John Frieda® curling iron. I haven't found a curling iron that truly gave me the bounce I desired. I typically have straight hair unless it's a rainy day and I get this annoying wave through my hair….but never bouncy beautiful curls like you see on t.v.

I found this iron to be easy to use. First of all, it really does heat up in 30 seconds OR LESS. How's that for saving time?! And the best part of all…my hair went from straight to full of body in an instant. I loved it! This iron has become, hands down, my favorite and since receiving it….I have taken the time nearly every day to curl my hair…just because I love the look.

It's like I always say….the proof is in the photos my Pretties. Check out my before and after!
