Queen City Pretty:Raeshika Jones

Raeshika Jones moved to Charlotte in 2004 after obtaining a degree in Mass Communications. With obsessions such as pop culture knowledge and the Food Network, it's not surprising this Charlotte Pretty has a job in television.By day, she's a morning show producer, writing words for others on the popular "Fox News Rising" By night, she's just a girl from the country who doesn't like ice cream, doesn't use Facebook and has a long term interest in making music documentaries.
Not only is she intelligent and a hardworker but she's funny (as you can see from her interview) and our community LOVES her. And that's why she is this week's Queen City Pretty.

What is your beauty product must have? Cover Girl Lash Blast. $7 of eyelash goodness!

If I were to peek in your makeup bag, what would I find? Random MAC products, NARS Mounia blush, Urban Decay Eye Shadow Potion, Smashbox primer, something from Target's clearance section, general chaos.

What spa/salon service can you not live without and where do you go to get this service done? Facial from the Aveda Institute. I haven't had one in a while, though. Can't beat the price for the excellent service.

Who is your beauty icon? Alek Wek. Dark skin, cropped hair, bold lips. Trailblazer.

What is your definition of Beauty? Beauty is that pleasant, confident, peaceful spirit inside of you. Makeup is just the cherry on top.

Any last words? This was a pleasant surprise to me! When I do whip out the "war paint", it's on the weekends. Plus, I'm not a mover or shaker in the fashion world. It's nice to know the "around the way girls" (shoutout to LL Cool J) can be "Pretty in the QC" and featured on awesome blogs like this! I love meeting likeminded spirits.
