Four Nights in Paris (Day Three)

We started off our third day in Paris with a stop at a cafe for coffee and then hopped back on the double decker bus.  It was an incredibly cold day but we were anxious to see the parts of Paris we had missed the day before. I of course wanted to be up top sitting in the uncovered section. It’s a better view up there plus a great way to snap photos. By the end of the bus ride we could barely feel our toes and fingers.

Moulin Rouge
My husband was excited to see his very own hotel HA!

We slept in so we missed breakfast and we had reservations for dinner so we didn’t want to eat a major lunch. We stopped at Le Musset where I opted for an appetizer of mushroom ravioli. It was delicious! I immediately regretted it though as dinner was only a few hours later! This was a very filling ‘appetizer’!

My husband had planned the ultimate evening. A dream, really! He made reservations to have dinner overlooking Paris in the Eiffel Tower at the 58 Tour Eiffel Restaurant. I couldn’t believe I was in Paris much less having dinner INSIDE the Eiffel Tower. This was a very romantic gesture. Right out of a fairy tale. Due to our busy work schedules, it’s rare that we get time like this together so this was a very special night. Their in house photographer snapped a couple of beautiful photos of us that I will most certainly cherish forever.

After dinner we made our way to Le Caveau de la Huchette which is a legendary jazz club located in the Latin Quarter of Paris. This was one activity on my list that I truly couldn’t wait for. It first became a club in 1949 and has been visited by all of the greats over time. In recent years, it has even made the big screen in Hollywood. I admit that I have never seen LaLa Land but Le Caveau de la Huchette was actually featured in this film. This local hotspot is a great way to experience the Paris nightlife and not feel as though you are a tourist.

Our final day in Paris was low key. Despite the rainy day, we walked around the city anyway. We ended our night by finding an incredible Indian restaurant. We are always up for a good curry. Click these links to find out how we spent our FIRST and SECOND day in Paris!
