Baton Rouge Flood Relief

by Amelia Old

The federal government has declared a State of Emergency in Louisiana after the worst US Natural Disaster since Hurrice Sandy hit just a few days ago. Over 40,000 homes have been affected. This includes several who work alongside my husband.

I will be assisting their company in collecting items to be delivered to Baton Rouge with an organization I work with called Activation ReACT. Last year we collected items for flood relief in Columbia, SC. Between pick ups in New Jersey, Charlotte, and Atlanta-we were able to provide a truck full of water, paper towels, cleaning supplies, snacks, hygiene products, and baby supplies.

You can read about one of the families we helped here –

Monetary donations are welcome and will be distributed to families in need in Baton Rouge. Please make sure to specify “Baton Rouge” during Check Out.

The following items have been requested as the LA flood victims begin putting their lives back together. If you can help in any way-please send me a message. I will arrange pick up of items in Charlotte, NC and surrounding areas.
