Charlotte, NC January 16th 2014 – On Friday, January 25th “freedom fighters” will come together to celebrate the work All We Want is LOVE has executed in the fight against human trafficking in the United States specifically in the Carolinas.

The event will take place at Wells Fargo Atrium in Uptown Charlotte and will be hosted by WBTV’s Maureen O'Boyle. The evening will begin by sharing the impact LOVE had in the past year followed by guest speakers, a raffle and auction.

Dinner will be catered by a variety of popular Charlotte restaurants. An open bar including beer, wine and liquor will be served.

"The evening will be a great opportunity to support a worthy cause, enjoy wonderful entertainment and celebrate a successful year of fighting human trafficking," said Jillian Mourning, who formed All We Want is LOVE after her personal experience with human trafficking. “We hope to open the eyes of attendees so that they may see trafficking is a major issue in our community and beyond.

LOVE will present a CMPD officer with the 2014 Freedom Fighter Award for going above and beyond in identifying and rescuing a victim of human trafficking.

In 2012, LOVE was formed and quickly has grown to encompass a group of freedom fighters with the same vision: A world where humans are NOT for sale. The money raised from this year’s Gala will go towards funding a Human Trafficking Conference for The Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department. All We Want Is Love will bring two highly trained professionals to teach a two day conference that will allow the CMPD to receive continuing education on this much needed topic at no cost to the officers or police department.

Last year more than 150 people attended the 1st annual gala and the LOVE team hopes to double that number this year.

All We Want Is LOVE is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization based in Charlotte, NC. that aims to end human trafficking on a local, national, and international level. Their mission is to bring awareness to the public about the crime of human trafficking and how it greatly impacts our community. Charlotte ranks 6th in the nation for reported human trafficking cases.
